STRUCTURALLY INSULATED PANELS - SIP'S
Used for walls & roof, SIP's make buildings stronger, straighter and significantly greener. They are made from rapidly renewable resources and offer superior R-values resulting in up to 60% savings on utility bills. Also use of SIP's reduces job-site waist by approximately two thirds.
RADIANT HEATING
Embedded in the floor of your home, radiant floor heating offers many environmental benefits. You're feet are always toasty warm, the temperature is consistent and easy to control, you won't feel the drafts or hear the noise of blowing air, and no dust or allergens get circulated within your home through air vents. Best of all, you'll pay lower utility costs because radiant heating consumes less energy.
RAINWATER CAPTURE
Rainwater collection systems capture storm-water runoff and snow melt and store it in cisterns which can be used for irrigation, flushing toilets, washing clothes, washing cars, pressure washing, or it can be purified for use as everyday drinking water. Used in alone or in conjunction with grey water systems, and low consumption plumbing fixtures, these are a great way to conserve water usage without sacrificing cleanliness or comfort.

WASTE REDUCTION AND RECYCLING
You won't find a big green dumpster on a Newell Construction site. We do our best to keep waste to a minimum and keep the site and the environment clean by recycling job-site waste materials.
All metals, cardboard, and some plastics are hauled to a local recycling facility.
Lumber scraps can be saved for burning by the owner or hauled to a local composting facility.
OSB, plywood, and sheet rock scraps are also materials that are accepted for compost locally.
